August is here at last!

In Michigan, August means summer is drawing to a close!  Yes you heard that right!  Just watch, when September hits, "someone" turns down the thermostat and it turns cold!  So August is officially the last month to enjoy true summer.  But this summer has been different - in the 70's most of the time.  Now the normal Michigander loves that, but for me it means NO TOMATOES, yet!  Nevertheless, Andy and I took a short trip to Saugatuck, a town southwest of Grand Rapids on Lake Michigan, sort of.  It's part of my idea to explore more of Michigan, but we never seem to really do it!  So you ask, "WHERE ARE THE PICTURES OF SAUGATUCK?  That's a great question, because this time I didn't misplace them, I just never took any!  WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!?!  We do have a picture of our food in Grand Rapids!  What does that tell you?
At Marie Catrib's.  Great restaurant!  This was breakfast!  Do you think I ate it all?

Dad was wondering why I ordered 2 entrees, and seems to be enjoying watching me try to eat them!

The night before we ate at The Green Well.  More great food!

My poutine -  in Michigan!!
Dad's healthy salad

Here are a few other August highlights:
Dad is ready for a COMFORTABLE bike ride with his quilted seat cover thanks to Kristy!

Yes that's me in the bed!  Ithaca Fun Fest bed races.
